Ananda Thandavam', the film based on the famous novel ‘Pirivom Sandhippom’ written by the celebrity writer ‘Sujatha’, deals with two divergent characters who meet up and fall in love. How do they manage to achieve the compatibility factor among them is what the story is all about.
Ragupathi (Siddarth), an engineering graduate, is a carefree personality. He does what he wants and gives a damn of what his parents have to say. He is basically a frustrated character haunted by his unemployment status. His father is the only support for him who consoles him whenever he goes off mood. Amidst uncertainly in life, he falls in love with Madhumitha (Thamannah). The heroine of the story is an obedient daughter to her parents and likes to see nothing beyond what her parents say and guide her to.
But, things are swept off from the dreams of these lovers once Radhakrishnan (Rishi) arrives from USA. He mesmerizes the entire family of Madhumitha and gets her married. With no options left, the girl has to obey her parents and flee to America after the marriage.
Newcomer Siddharth is paired opposite the hot and happening Thamana in this film. Ruckmani, who made quite an impression in Bharathiraaja's 'Bommalattam' is the other heroine in the film.
Produced by Aascar V Ravichandradran and directed by director Gandhi Krishna, the music of the flick has been scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the nephew of AR Rahman.
The movie is worth a deko as it has elements to attract both youth and family audiences.
